Recommended Foods for Cancer

The food is fundamental in the treatment of cancer as we have seen, because it can help the patient get better, both physically and emotionally.

It also serves to prevent malnutrition and anorexia caused by the treatment with drugs, but remember that you should always check before the diet that you will take with your doctor.

Here are few food consumption especially recommended for cancer patients:

1. Vegetables: to provide fiber and nutrients, especially broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, Chinese cabbage, onions and garlic.

2. cereals, breads and starches: a daily ration of 60 grams of bread or crackers, as well as 80 grams of pasta help patients to get fiber and energy for your body. They are recommended whole grain flakes, bran, whole grain pastas, brown rice and bread with seeds.

3. Fish and vegetables: provides minerals and fiber. The daily ration should not exceed 89 grams for cooked vegetables or fish. Choose from blue fish, lentils, peas and beans.

4. Fruits: all types, at least 2 servings a day to earn fiber and vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, mainly.

5. Meat, eggs and derivatives: the consumption of these products should be moderate, with portions not exceeding 3 eggs per week, or a fillet of 100 grams 2 times a week.
