When we think of cancer treatment we forget the importance of diet in this disease, which is the most common sequel excessive weight loss patient.

Some of the eating disorders related to cancer patients are:

Early anorexia

Rapid weight loss due to alterations in the digestive tract, either in the stomach, esophagus or intestines. Also alterations in taste and digestion much more slowly than common. These are causing this type of anorexia that alters the sensation of hunger the patient.

Nutrient loss

Due to cancer treatments required, the patient experiences a significant loss of nutrients, which can put you in malnutrition, along with the elimination of blood by different routes (urine, oral, fecal matter). This is why patients require a higher caloric diet to normal.

Malabsorption syndrome

Because the drugs are administered in treatment, the patient may experience some changes, first, you take hunger, second, reduce the absorption capacity of nutrients in the foods you eat, this is why diet is important for cancer.
